The series was created and written by John Berdux, who lives with his family in Charleston, SC. A lifelong lover of music and storytelling, John has always been inspired by the dreamers, rebels, and free spirits who shaped the counterculture movements of the 20th and 21st centuries. From Hunter S. Thompson to Ken Kesey, Jack Kerouac to Allen Ginsberg, their voices reminded the world to think differently, live authentically, and embrace creativity.

Sharing these passions with his daughter sparked a new dream: to create books that introduce children to legendary figures like Jerry Garcia, in a way that’s fun, engaging, and perfectly suited for early readers.
